Hi...

I'm not exactly a pro at this whole blogging thing, but then again I guess that's kind of the point, right? A little about me?

Ummmm...

Well, I was born and raised in Homer, Alaska and currently go to school at Humboldt State University in Arcata, California. I'm a journalism major and a film minor, even though film is ultimately my desired profession. I guess any discussion about me and who I am is inevitably going to touch upon my two biggest passions: Movies and Video Games. I was raised on them both and over the years have learned to appreciate them for the art that they are (I don't give two shits what Hideo Kojima has to say on the subject, dude's out of his fucking gourd anyway). Without question my favorite movie is Pulp Fiction. That movie did so much to help me understand and appreciate film that it literally changed my life (I intend to go further in depth on this at some point... far too much to talk about here).

As far as favorite games go, I'm not really that choosy or discriminating when it comes down to it. There are a couple genres that I have little to no tolerance for (sports games for instance) but I can enjoy just about anything. I loooove a good FPS (my favorites would probably have to be those in the Half-Life series), I've started developing a much fonder appreciation for RPG's (I really like Paper Mario for the N64) and just about any old-school sidescroller is enough to make me forget any kind of worries I may have in my life (Super Mario World is teh best game EVAR!!!).
